The light the colours, the mood. all these inspired this multi dimensional piece.

The background is coloured ink and gold leaf, overlapping translucent layers of coloured inks. Finishing top layer is impasto of water based oil. Lastly and always, a few fun marks of expression often left in my works.
I felt this complex layering technique, as well as having the raw wood panel still sneak pattern through, contrasted by the rich gold leaf, best represented the layers of moment I was trying to capture.
